Twenty Squares, also known as the Royal Game of Ur, is a strategy/race board game with origins dating back to at least 2600 BCE. The oldest game boards were unearthed in the tombs of Ur in Iraq during the 1920s. While the precise ancient rules remain uncertain, the essence of the game involves two players racing around the board to be the first to bring all their stones home, encountering surprises along the way.
